Common Questions

  • If you don't have dedicated measuring tools, you can use a desk ruler or a smartphone app to measure the length, width, and height of your package. For weight, you can use a bathroom scale. First, measure your weight while standing unburdened on the scale, then measure your weight while holding the package on the same scale. The difference between the two is the weight of your package. Keep in mind that these methods are not as precise as using dedicated tools. Also, pay attention to your unit of measurement, it makes all the difference.

  • If you underestimate your package's size or weight when purchasing a shipping label, you may incur additional charges from the carrier. These charges are typically billed to your original payment method or deducted from your account balance if you have one with us. It is crucial to provide accurate measurements while rating your shipment as it forms the basis of the prices presented by carriers.

  • Not at this time, but that's a feature we have on our roadmap. For now, you need to either schedule a pickup on the carrier's website, or drop off your package at one of their locations after obtaining your shipping label.

  • All labels purchased through Postmaster come with a valid tracking number issued by the carrier. You can track your package directly on the carrier's website using this tracking number.

  • Once you've purchased a label, it is a valid postage; any changes to the label may render the paid postage inaccurate. If you've made a mistake and need to change the address, weight, dimensions, or anything else, please request a refund for that label and create a new one.

  • Most major carriers like USPS, UPS, and FedEx offer free packaging supplies including boxes of all shapes and envelopes of different sizes. Simply visit their website, one of their locations, or a local post office to inquire about and/or obtain a free packaging material.

  • Of course! You can use Postmaster to ship anything you like, including moving boxes, as long as they do not contain items prohibited by the carrier.
